Dogs at Pease Bay
Your pet is always welcome at Pease Bay! As we want all our guests (including those with four legs!) to enjoy themselves and be safe, there are a couple of things we'd like you to remember for everyone's security and well-being.
- While in the park, please keep your dog on a lead and make sure it is wearing a collar with an ID tag;
- Please pick up any dog mess and place it in one of the dog bins on the park; if you don't have ane poo bags - don't worry, these can be supplied, just pop into Reception;
- Please keep dogs under control and don't leave them unattended at any time;
- Only assistance dogs are allowed into our Bar and Restaurant complex, there is an outside seating area where all dogs are welcome.
Dog-Friendly Walks around Pease Bay
Pease Bay is conveniently located close to several walking routes. The options are endless for those who love an adventure in the great outdoors!
Cockburnspath and Pease Circular
Cockburnspath and Pease Circular takes 1½ hours and the waymarked route offers either a 2½ or 5 mile walk. You’ll see Cockburnspath Tower, along with stunning views of the bay, cliffs, Bass Rock and across the Forth Estuary to Fife.
Cove and Dunglass Circular
It usually takes 1 hour for this 3 mile walk. Following part of the John Muir Way, this path will take you to Dunglass Collegiate church and for those who prefer a longer walk, you can go to Dunbar and get a bus or train back!
Pease Dean Nature Reserve
This is a 2 hour and 3 mile walk following the Southern Upland Way. There’s great views of the coastline and is managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust.
Pressmennan
This beautiful mature woodland sits on a vantage point overlooking Pressmennan Lake and the surrounding countryside. It’s home to an abundance of wildlife such as deer, owls, otters and bats.
Southern Upland Way Eastern Route
The Southern Upland Way is the only official coast to coast long distance walking route which crosses Scotland from west to east. Pease Bay is conveniently located at the eastern point of the route. This stage crosses moorland, farmland and woodland, with clifftop walks close to the Park.
