Weardale Railway

A volunteer run heritage attraction, the Weardale Railway line runs adjacent to Kingfisher Leisure Park. Operating frequent steam engine services up the line during the summer, it's a great way to experience steam engines of old and travel on a line that was originally built in 1847. With the area’s rich heritage when it comes to Rail travel and the fantastic seasonal events put on by the Weardale Railway volunteer group you will not want to miss this great attraction.

You can access the Weardale Railway from Frosterley station, next to the Black Bull Inn, Stanhope Station, which has a shop, cafe and toilet facilities or Wolsingham Station.
