The Durham Dales region is home to fantastic countryside parks and walking routes for people of all abilities and experience levels. The whole family can enjoy some fantastic attractions, with many fine historical monuments and museums just a short drive away.
There are few holiday parks that can boast such spectacular surroundings and yet be so conveniently located. Heather View is close to amazing countryside walking routes, quaint market towns, an abundance of historical attractions and a culture focused city like no other.
Located on the edge of the pretty market town of Stanhope, visitors and owners at Heather View have easy access to an abundance of market towns offering relaxing days out. Many of these come steeped in local history and offer fantastic places to explore such as castles, museums and walking trails.
Action packed, or laid back and relaxed, County Durham offers something for everyone.

Entertainment and events
We add new entertainment regularly so be sure to check back with us for updates. You can also find details of our planned entertainment on notice boards around the park. A small charge may be applicable to some events, please ask reception for details.
Vinnie and Violet, our cuddly park mascots, will also be making regular appearances throughout the year; they're usually up to mischief so keep an eye out for them!

Walks and outdoors
Located in the heart of the Durham Dales, Heather View is just a stone’s throw away from a number of amazing walking routes. You can also find the breathtaking waterfall, High Force, on the nearby Teesdale Way walk, and Hamsterley Forest, with its endless walking, cycling and horse riding routes just down the road.

The perfect option for family holidays, Heather View has an abundance of family friendly days out nearby. There are farms, museums, activity centres and more to enjoy. From stepping into history, to getting messy or exploring new heights, it’s never a dull day when you spend your downtime at Heather View.
