Fun for all the family at East Links Family Park
Just up the road from Coldingham Bay you’ll find an attraction like no other. A history of fishing at Eyemouth Museum
Eyemouth has been a fishing port since the 13th century and some 80 boats regularly fish out of it. The bustling harbour area goes to show how important fishing still is to the town and it’s a must visit location for many holidaying in the area. Eyemouth Museum documents the history of fishing and the social heritage of the town.
Enjoy a tipple at Belhaven Brewery
The self-proclaimed home of Scottish Brewing, Belhaven Brewery is Scotland’s oldest working brewery and offers tours where you can find out all about its history and the beers that have been brewed there since its establishment in 1719. Tours run every day and the brewery is just a half hour drive from Coldingham Bay, in nearby Dunbar.
Take in the sights at John Muir Country Park
Named after Dunbar born conservationist and environmental philosopher John Muir, John Muir Country Park covers some of the most spectacular East Lothian coastline. Spanning from the remnants of Dunbar Castle – one of Scotland’s strongest fortresses – to the Peffer Burn 3.5 miles away, it provides an incredible spot to take in the sights of the East Lothian coast, including Bass Rock and the River Tyne estuary.
Paxton House
Paxton House lies at the heart of 80 acres of woodland, parkland and gardens and offers a fantastic selection of walks, wildlife and scenery. Overlooking the majestic River Tweed, the house grounds feature a large variety of riverside walks, trails, and outdoor attractions for visitors.
Bamburgh Castle
You can learn all about the history of the area, Bamburgh Castle and its inhabitants in the fourteen public areas. There are over 3,000 items including arms, armour, glass, china, furniture and artwork to view. Bamburgh Castle offers an extensive programme of events throughout the year, featuring woodworking lessons, reenactments and theatre shows.
