Bar & Restaurant Manager - The Old Mill

Location: The Old Mill - Golden Coast Leisure Park, Station Road, Woolacombe, Devon, EX34 7HW

Salary: £13.02 per hour

Contract Type: Seasonal (expected to end November)

Hours: Full time, 40 hours over 5 days each week. Shifts will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Enquire for more details

About the Role

With overall responsibility for the food and beverage service, you will oversee all aspects of the service and the staff, leading by example with a friendly and professional approach. Ensuring our customers are having the best experience possible is an integral part of the role, whether it is dealing with complaints swiftly, mentoring the team in customer service excellence or just getting stuck in to whatever tasks need completing during a busy shift. Achieving KPIs related to stock management, wage percentages and team development will be a key part of this role.

Typical duties and responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the day to day operation of food and beverage facilities within the Old Mill.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve guest satisfaction
  • Train, supervise and manage a team of food and beverage staff
  • Maintain inventory and ordering of food and beverage supplies
  • Monitor and control stock levels and waste percentages
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure excellent customer service and positive interactions
  • Develop and motivate the team to achieve their full potential

About the Person

You will need to have previous experience of managing a food and beverage service and be able to demonstrate effective measures for reducing waste and increasing sales. You will also need to have previous experience with managing and developing a staff team and be able to demonstrate effective ways of motivating the team to achieve excellence. Good knowledge of the licensing laws (plus a personal license) and food standards agency code of practice is essential.
