View the dark skies at Galloway Forest Park

This impressive forest park boasts tranquil valleys within heather clad hills and rugged rock faces. There are a multitude of walking routes for you to enjoy and of course, having been named as the UK’s first Dark Skies park, there are great stargazing opportunities. Stargazers have been known to witness the Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights as it is more commonly known.
