Find out more about the developments we have completed and what is planned to come

There's been so much happening since the last edition of Verdant Life, both on and off park. In addition to a new park joining the group we've completed developments at Riverside and Scoutscroft and we've refurbished the facilities at Heather View!

Over the winter we'll continue to invest in the parks with refurbishment of the Scoutscroft entrance planned and more exciting proposals in the pipeline.

Bye Bye Bear!

We’re excited to announce The Crazy Bear has a refreshed look. It holds some amazing memories for many owners and guests over the years, and we hope the new and improved bar and restaurant will bring just as much joy. Let’s start the new chapter!

We asked you for your help to choose a name, and you didn’t disappoint. We saw some great suggestions, from the ‘Stepping-Stone Inn’ to the ‘Loose Moose’, we loved every idea! We narrowed it down and with your votes, it was renamed ‘Riverview Bar & Grill’. Thank you to everyone that got involved.

The Crazy Bear closed on the 5th October, and the bright new bar re-opened on the 19th October. We hope you’ve enjoyed the new and improved bar so far and love it as much as we do!

New look for Scoutscroft's entrance

The entrance to Scoutscroft will be having a facelift this winter!

We're keen to improve the overall look of the entrance to the park and create an inviting outdoor space for the whole family to enjoy. We will be recladding the exterior and improving the outdoor seating which means you will be able to make more use of the outside space.

Works will begin in February and we anticipate they will be finished for the start of the new season on the 1st March. We'll be posting regular updates on our Facebook page.

Kingfisher riverbank restoration

We've been working with the local authorities to plan the restoration of the riverbank at Kingfisher.

Sadly, the bank was washed away by Storm Desmond in 2015, and we've been working hard to find a way to restore it to its former glory. There has been a lengthy process which has seen us having to request permission from the Environment Agency. We're happy to announce that we have now received permission and work is ready to begin!

Due to the nature of the work, it can only be carried out between the months of May and September. We expect work to begin in May or June next year, so please keep an eye out in the summer for the new and improved riverbank.

Woodside development completes

We're glad to announce that the development in Woodside at Riverside has completed with 31 caravan pitches and 7 lodge pitches. We hope you've had chance to take a look around!

In addition to the new pitches, plans were laid out to implement a new pedestrian crossing system to improve the safety for everyone walking from the park to the club. We're currently working with the Highways Agency who are finalising decisions around the design. Please be assured that we're working hard to make this happen as soon as possible.
