Hours: Full time position. Our facilities are open 7 days per week and shifts can be between 7:30am and 9pm.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leisure facilities on park, providing lifeguard duties for the pool and promoting an outstanding guest experience, whilst ensuring all Health & Safety Requirements are met.

Some examples of the day-to day duties are:

  • Manage, organise and efficiently supervise the Leisure Team
  • Undertake effective supervision of the pool to ensure the safety and comfort of all users of the pool and surrounding pool areas – Lifeguard duties as needed.
  • Liaise with the marketing department to ensure leisure facilities are maximised through appropriate promotion and advertising.
  • Ensure the good working order of all pool and plant equipment and that all procedures are followed
  • Ensure the safety of customers and team members and security of equipment, chemicals, plant room and pools
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service and team member effectiveness through an excellent induction plan and ongoing training of team members
  • Ensuring that all Lifeguards are fully trained to the required legal standard
  • Complete relevant administrative tasks including team rotas, timesheets, safety compliance checks and legislative compliance checks
  • Proactively review customer feedback and deal with the feedback in an urgent matter in order to improve customer satisfaction
  • Manage agreed budgets or controllable expenses and wage costs, alongside determining and implementing strategies to increase year on year sales

Skills & Experience Required

You will need to have previous experience in a similar role, with the qualification or training to back it up. We are looking for someone with a passion for leisure and activities, the holiday park industry and in driving our facilities forward.

Above all, you will need to have the right attitude. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and so we expect you to do everything in your power to make their Verdant experience the absolute best it could possibly be. We don’t believe in ‘that’s not my job’ so you will need to be adaptable and flexible to help the wider park team meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of the role
  • Proven, recent experience in a similar role
  • Experience in leading and developing a team
  • A current RLSS/NPLQ Lifeguard qualification is essential
  • A current Pool Plant Operations qualification would be desirable.
  • A friendly, flexible and professional attitude
