Typical Duties & Responsibilities

Our Bowling Team are responsible for assisting all visitors to the Bowling Alley facilities on park, managing the booking system, taking calls and helping with any queries. The team interact with our customers to make sure that they are enjoying their time This role is key to ensuring that we provide the quality facilities that our guests expect, so they can have fun in a safe well-maintained environment.

Some examples of the day-to day duties are:

  • Welcoming customers at Bowling reception, managing the booking system and taking calls
  • Interacting with our customers, making sure they’re enjoying themselves
  • Enhancing the customer's experience on the lanes, including offering food drink service whilst they bowl
  • Supporting the kitchen team with taking orders and serving and delivering food in the diner
  • Serving customers and preparing drinks at the bar
  • Setting up, hosting and ensuring the smooth running of parties and celebration packages
  • Delighting our customers with prizes and providing support in the arcade and amusements area
  • Upkeep and cleanliness of the Bowling area

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role, or the ability to learn quickly. You will need to be enthusiastic and friendly. Above all, you will need to have the right attitude. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and so we expect you to do everything in your power to make their Verdant experience the absolute best it could possibly be. We don’t believe in ‘that’s not my job’ so you will need to be adaptable and flexible to help the wider team meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • A friendly and flexible attitude
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role (especially with Brunswick ten pin bowling) is desirable but not essential as full training and support is provided
