Pease Bay achieves Silver standard Green Tourism award!

We’re pleased to announce that our Berwickshire based leisure park, Pease Bay, has achieved the Silver standard of the Green Tourism Award for excellent and progressive contribution to the Green Tourism scheme.

Our fantastic staff and customers have helped the park to be recognised for demonstrating good environmental practises. The team’s monitoring of resources such as energy and water usage, waste management, and the delivery projects including our regular beach cleans, have also been noted.

The achievement for Pease Bay follows a series of changes we have been making, including the removal of plastic straws from our complex areas and single use carrier bags in the shops, as well as the installation of water loggers across the parks.

The achievement comes less than a year since Verdant Leisure joined Green Tourism in April 2018. Joining Green Tourism pledged our commitment to working responsibly, ethically and sustainably to contribute to the community and reducing our impact on the environment, and each of our parks were awarded bronze status following inspection.
