Verdant Leisure has been named as a finalist in the Growing Business of the Year (mid-sized company) category for the 2017 Amazon Growing Business Awards.  Verdant Leisure is a bespoke holiday park operator offering self-catering holidays and holiday home ownership at its seven holiday parks across Scotland and the north of England. The company, established in 2010, has grown steadily and is now a key player in the industry.

The Growing Business Awards have celebrated the UK’s best businesses and entrepreneurs for 18 years – past winners include Go Ape, Innocent Drinks, Betfair and Zoopla. Over 500 nominations were received from across the UK for this year’s accolades.

“We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for the Growing Business of the Year award. 2017 has been a pivotal year for us and we’re anticipating that this period of growth will continue over the next few years. It is great for team morale that our success is being recognised,” said Graham Hodgson, CEO, Verdant Leisure.

Created by Real Business, headlined by Amazon and supported by the CBI, the Amazon Growing Business Awards are the UK’s most prestigious awards ceremony that celebrates the successes of the UK’s SMEs and entrepreneurs.

“The depth and breadth of this year’s shortlist proves why the UK is a great place to set up and run a business,” said Doug Gurr, UK Country Manager, Amazon. “With a record number of applicants, there was a high level of competition in every category. I’d like to congratulate all of the businesses shortlisted and wish them all the best of luck on the awards night.”

The 19th annual Amazon Growing Business Awards ceremony will take place on 29th November 2017 at The Brewery, London.
