Location: Verdant Leisure, 10 Mannin Way, Caton Road, Lancaster, LA1 3SW

Salary:£24,375 - £25,218 (dependent upon experience)

Hours: Full-time position, 37.5 hrs a week, Monday to Friday (hybrid working available)

We’re looking for an HR Administrator who thrives on detail, consistency, and excellent service. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where being brilliant at the basics, like organisation, clear communication, and reliable follow-through makes a huge impact.

About the role:

You will be responsible for day-to-day HR tasks such as recruitment, training, processing new starters and absence management. You will work closely with all the teams at head office and be a main point of contact for general HR queries from our managers on park.

Some examples of the day-to-day duties are:

  • First point of contact for HR queries – you’ll be the friendly face (or voice) of the team
  • Maintain employee records (digital and paper) and ensure accuracy across all systems
  • Work closely with park-based Admin Managers and support the payroll process with accurate starter/leaver updates
  • Support HRIS usage and troubleshoot issues with managers
  • Draft, post and manage job adverts on our website and job boards
  • Prepare contracts and onboarding packs and ensure pre-employment checks are completed

About the person:

You will need to be enthusiastic, focused, and confident, with previous experience working in a busy office environment. An excellent working knowledge of IT packages, including the ability to learn new HR and L&D systems quickly is essential. You must be detail-oriented and able to prioritise perform multiple projects and tasks, taking ownership of issues and seeing them through to resolution.

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in a busy office environment
  • Previous experience of working in the hospitality and/or leisure industry is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent IT, numeracy and literacy skills
  • A friendly and professional manner with a can-do and team player attitude
  • The ability to maintain high levels of enthusiasm in a fast paced and sometimes challenging environment
  • The ability to interact and communicate clearly and confidently
  • The ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
