Fix it. Lead it. Love it!

Love fixing things, leading a team, and working somewhere a little bit special? Join us at Pease Bay Leisure Park as our new Maintenance Manager and be the driving force behind beautifully kept grounds, well-maintained accommodation, and smooth-running operations. This is your chance to take a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same—from solving problems on the spot to guiding improvement projects that make a real impact on our guest experience.

About the role:

As our Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our maintenance and grounds team. From handling reactive repairs and leading park improvement projects to overseeing the upkeep of grounds and guest accommodation, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining high standards across the park.
This is a hands-on role, so you’ll be actively involved in maintenance tasks, supporting the team while managing work allocation, performance, and compliance with health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, motivate, and develop the on-park maintenance team
  • Plan, delegate, and monitor daily work tasks and projects
  • Carry out site and facilities maintenance, groundskeeping, and unit siting
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations
  • Maintain tools, machinery, and assets securely and efficiently
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management within your team
  • Liaise directly with guests and other teams to resolve issues and deliver great service
  • Work with the General Manager on site development and improvement plans

About the person:

We’re looking for a proactive, solutions-focused individual with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to maintenance and grounds management. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be organised, adaptable, and capable of prioritising tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You should have practical experience in property and site maintenance, with a solid understanding of health and safety regulations. This is a team-focused role, so you’ll also need to demonstrate effective communication, delegation, and the ability to motivate others to deliver high standards. A full UK driving licence is essential due to the nature of the role.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A clean driving licence
  • Proven experience managing and motivating a team to deliver results
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong working knowledge of general maintenance, ground care, and repair work
  • Previous experience in the siting of caravans is desirable.
  • Up-to-date understanding of health & safety legislation and safe working practices
  • Experience working in a holiday park, leisure, or caravan park setting is desirable
  • Knowledge of landscaping processes
  • Practical experience using maintenance tools, machinery, and equipment
