Our Charity Partnership with National Autistic Society

For our 2024 charity year, we have teamed up with National Autistic Society to raise £50,000.

We asked our team, holiday home owners, and holiday guests to nominate a charity, and vote for our Charity of the Year partner.

Throughout the year, we plan to hold a variety of events, including annual charity open days, which comprise of BBQs, raffles, and live entertainment. Team members will also participate in events such as the Great North Run, bungee jumps, and sponsored walks to help meet the fundraising target.

The National Autistic Society will also host a virtual lunch and learn session for Verdant team members, providing education on autism to help improve the experience of autistic people on the parks.

Stacey Hope, Communications Director at Verdant Leisure said: “We are delighted to have chosen the National Autistic Society as our charity partner for 2024 and are looking forward to a year of fundraising efforts. Supporting charities that are close to our hearts is important to everyone at Verdant, and we are proud of the team for their willingness to get stuck in and help raise money.”

Gaby Sealy, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the National Autistic Society, said: “We are very grateful to Verdant Leisure for choosing the National Autistic Society as Charity of the Year for 2024, and we can’t wait to see all of their fundraising challenges and events coming up in the year ahead. All the money raised will go towards our work to help transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that truly works for autistic people.” For more information about the fundraising efforts, please visit Verdant Leisure."
