03/05/2024

Nestled in Perthshire, in the heart of Central Scotland, lies a rural hidden gem. Whether you need to escape for some much-needed R&R, or you’re raring to get out there to explore, this holiday park is the perfect base for your countryside retreat.

1. Quality time with family

What better way to really be together than escaping your busy daily life? This holiday park is conveniently located near plenty of attractions in the local area. For an immersive day out with the kids, visit the Beatrix Potter Exhibition. Or, for something a bit more fast-paced, Active Kids Adventure Park has trampolines, crazy golf, farm animals, and much more! Click here to see more family days out in Perthshire.

If you’d like to stay here on the park, we have plenty to keep you busy. Erigmore welcomes a host of talented live entertainment to keep the whole family entertained – so sit back and enjoy the show! Plus, our indoor heated pool is the perfect place to make a splash – especially when the weather is a bit chilly.

2. Romantic couples retreat

Our modern lodge accommodation has been designed with couples in mind. If you fancy a bit of added luxury, you can choose from a range of accommodation with private hot tubs. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the stunning scenery whilst cosying up with your other half. On a budget? Our contemporary apartments are a fantastic choice for a great-value couples break.

When it comes to date night, our cosy lounge bar is a lovely setting to enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared meal and a few refreshing drinks. For a laidback daytime activity, why not try our on-park fishing, or 9-hole putting green?

(Re)connect with nature

Perthshire is home to some of the best walking routes in the country, including Pitlochry Dam with its famous fish ladder – at the right time of year, you can see salmon leaping out of the water. On your walk, perhaps you’d like to take it slow, breathing in the fresh forest air and taking time to appreciate the scenery. Or, do you fancy a challenge? There are plenty of hikes in the local area that are sure to get your blood pumping.

If you’re a fan of wildlife spotting, you don’t even have to leave the holiday park. Our Discovery Trail is perfect for little explorers, whilst a range of wildlife can be sighted all around the park, such as birds, red squirrels, and rabbits. This green paradise is full of life, so is the perfect muse for all you creatives – whether you enjoy photography or painting.

4. Escape with your four-legged friend

In the lush forest county of Perthshire, you’ll be spoiled for choice with the range of pet-friendly walking routes. From Scone Palace to Moncreiff Hill Fort, there’s plenty to see while you’re out stretching your legs with your four-legged friend.

After a day of exploring, come along to our lounge bar, which has a designated dog-friendly area, for a bite to eat. Then, when the night draws to a close, you can sleep easy in our range of pet-friendly accommodation including apartments, caravans, a spa cottage, and lodges.

5. Explore the rich Scottish history

Did you know that Erigmore Leisure Park is located on the site of the old ‘Birnam Wood’, made famous by Shakespeare’s Macbeth? As well as that, the grand Victorian mansion at the centre of the site – lovingly known as ‘The Big House’ – was once home to pre-Raphaelite painter, Sir John Everett.

Outside of our park, there’s a whole world of history to explore in Perthshire. Visit historic landmarks like Blair Castle and Dunkeld Cathedral. If you’d like to learn about how our ancestors used to live, take a trip to the Scottish Crannog Centre – a unique museum and working replica Iron Age Village.

Whatever your holiday mood looks like, we’ve got it all at Erigmore Leisure Park. Ready to escape? Click here to book your break, or call our Friendly Holidays Team on 03300 535 524.
