Clyde Valley Family Park

Scottish Maritime Museum

Founded in 1983, The Scottish Maritime Museum holds a nationally recognised collection of amazing ships, undustrial machinery and nautical inspired artwork! Enjoy a variety of historic vessels, artefacts, art, fascinating personal items and the largest collection of shipbuilding tools and machinery in the country.

Burns Museum

The museum comprises the famous Burns Cottage where the poet was born, the historic landmarks where he set his greatest work, the elegant monument and gardens created in his honour and a modern museum housing the world’s most important collection of his life and works.

Craufurdland Fisheries

Craufurdland Fisheries is set on the Craufurdland Lochan, on the Craufurdland Estate, just outside Fenwick, Ayrshire. The fishery is stocked with rainbow, brown and blue trout. Fishing is available from the bank or on one of the boats on the lochan. There are facilities which include refreshments, tackle for sale and tuition.

Belleisle Park

Belleisle Estate is one of the most popular family attractions within South Ayrshire and also the largest park in Ayr. In addition to the two municipal golf courses within the park, it also houses a number of animals including deer, ponies, pot-bellied pigs, a kiddies' pet area and an aviary. There is a fantastic walled garden and a huge Victorian greenhouse to explore and a children's play area to experience. At the heart of the estate lies an 18th century country house which is currently being renovated.

Golfing in Ayrshire

With over 25 golf courses in the area, you’ll be spoilt for choice at Viewfield Manor! There are 2 courses at nearby Belleisle Park, in addition to Beith Golf Club and Lochwinnoch Golf Club, to name just a few. Visitors are welcome and many of the nearby courses offer the hiring of equipment so you don't have to remember your own.
