The Glen is a fab place, we love it!
I became a holiday home owner in February 2015 at Thurston Manor and I am truly impressed with the park location, cleanliness and facilities. The staff are professional, polite and very knowledgeable and do all they can to support and help. The only downside I have experienced is a lack of facility for rubbish disposal, there does not seem to be enough bins for this purpose. I have also noticed a lack by some home owners/holiday residents to recycle properly i.e. when recycling cardboard boxes they are not broken down merely put in the recycle bin resulting in a lack of space in these bins which in turn leads to discarded cardboard be left at the side of the bins. This makes the area look unsightly.
Riverside Park has changed ownership a few times since we bought our Van, but one thing is consistent, the park is always kept tidy, the areas around Wooler are beautiful to explore. They have a great friendly team working there now and its great to see they have improved the ambiance of the site including the clubhouse. One thing for sure whether you want a busy or relaxing time its here, thats what we love and we never miss a weekend or holiday, our dogs love it too!
Good selection of caravans and lodges, good facilities for everyone if required. A nice place just to chill and relax.
Thurston Manor has everything you'll need for a exciting holiday from relaxation to excitement, surrounding area is fab. Staff are very friendly and helpful, this makes Thurston Manor the best park in the borders. I've been to them all but Thurston Manor came in 1st every time.
The Glen is peaceful and quiet even during the school holidays. The people on the site are friendly and helpful if required. The deer, pheasants ,ducks, and swans etc are always around especially when the deer are grazing outside your window. The shop is very handy for items you run out of and has plenty of pocket money things for grandchildren. All outdoor staff and office staff are very friendly and helpful. All our visitors have been really impressed with the site and facilities.
My family have visited riverside for 23 years first touring. Then in 2008 we bought a static, we have enjoyed many a good night at the bar, we also enjoy walking or did until my wife become very poorly in 2009. This put and end to the sight seeing and frequenting the bar , although we do go along for the odd meal which we find quite satisfactory. The staff at Riverside are as you would except, quite approachable on the whole.
Been coming to this park since 1997 camping, I loved the park so much I upgraded to a touring van for a few years then in 2004 I bought my first static. I love it so much I've up graded twice since and never looked back. The park has so much to offer and I've had so many fantastic nights in the club house. The park is well cared for and the upkeep is second to none.Over the years I've seen so many changes on and around the park. I couldn't see myself spending my weekends and holidays on any other park, it's the place to be.
I love spending time at the park. Meeting new people and catching up with friends we've already made whilst here. The staff are so friendly and helpful which makes for a great atmosphere. Theres plenty to do from the club on the park, entertainment, eating out, leisure facilities. Walks round the park and enjoying the countryside and nature. Plenty of places of interest to visit from coastal towns, long walks on the many beaches, and historical sights. Relaxing days round the caravan be it inside or out. From reading, container gardening on the decking and keeping your home from home well maintained. Absolutely love it.
|The park staff are always helpful and will go that extra mile if required to ensure customer satisfaction at all times. The park is currently under going its next stage of revamp, to which will certainly bring more people to this good, friendly and pleasureable park very soon upon its next phase completion.|
